Photo by Jenny Damm
The name Krug comes also from a champagne - and this
brand brings to my mind great memories form our trip to France in the year 2000.
This golden boy was a real surprise to us when he was born - the sable color comes
from Aino's father Rykki. We had no idea that Aino and Elvis
could produce this color together. As a puppy this great boy was called "The
sable" or "Beat". You could really feel the beat when this boy was doing something.
Krug is owned by Jenny Damm, the owner of father Elvis. Krug is called Ogin, which means "wild rose" in
one of the Native American languages. Originally I was thinking of keeping Ogin myself, but when Jenny came
to visit us here in Finland and saw Ogin, what can I say, it was love at first sight.
Ogin had already conquered hearts here in Finland and nowadays in Sweden too!
Ogin will be learning agility and herding with Jenny. They might also do a little bit of obedience
and dog dancing, or "freestyle" together too, just for fun.
Ogin is already doing the following:
* Sit stay (with distraction)
* Handling on the ground (Follow me, rear crosses, front crosses, tight inside turn)
* Zig Zag between my legs
* Walk between my legs
* Walk in between my legs from front and back
* Reverse in between my legs
* Reverse away from me
* Walk in a ladder
* Push down a small see saw (teeter)
* Contacts on dog walk and see saw (He can get down from about 50 cm up, then stay and perform his behaviour with some distraction)
* Jump up on stumps in the woods
* Walk nicely on a leash
* Sleep in mum's lap... ;o) the best trick!
.... and a lot more - you can read more from Jenny's home page.
It was heart breaking to send this little boy so far away, but I know that we are going to hear a lot
about this golden boy! Thank you Jenny for taking this amazing boy to you - I think you know how much it means to me!
